Terms
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use HeadSolved. They're written to be read: if anything is unclear, email hello@headsolved.com. How we handle your personal data is in the privacy policy.
1. Who we are
HeadSolved (headsolved.com) is run by Teiva Jabbour, an individual based in New Mexico, USA, at 500 4th ST NW Suite 102 #2258 Albuquerque, NM 87102, United States("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@headsolved.com.
2. Who can use HeadSolved
- Because rounds are recorded, you must be 18 or over to use HeadSolved. You confirm this when you join.
- One account per person. Don't share your account or sit a round for someone else.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
Invigilated rounds are recorded and watched by people. If a grader thinks someone looks under 18, we pause the account and ask for proof of age. If you are under 18, we close the account, remove your badges and delete your recordings and photos.
3. Rounds and invigilation
A round releases one problem to everyone at the same moment. To take part invigilated you agree to be recorded for the whole sitting: your laptop's camera and microphone, your whole screen, and your phone's side view of you and your desk. Some rounds may also ask for a photo of your ID or a scan of your room; the round says so before you sign up.
You can instead sit a solo round uninvigilated: no cameras and no check-in. You hand in photos of your write-up (or your answer) before the round ends, and it's marked by AI (see section 4). The rules below still apply, apart from the ones about recording.
During a round:
- Solve it yourself. No AI tools, no searching for the problem or a solution, no help from anyone (unless the person is a member of the team you are competing with), and no notes or materials beyond paper and a pen unless the round says otherwise.
- In a solo round, don't talk to anyone. In a team round, talk only to your teammates; each of you records your own side.
- Keep the camera, screen share and phone running, and stay on the round's tab.
- Don't share the problem, or anything about solving it, until the round has closed.
Technical problems happen. If footage is missing through no fault of yours, we'll call the result "inconclusive" rather than treat it as cheating.
4. Marks, verdicts and badges
Written solutions are marked out of 5 by a person, against a marking guide written with the problem. A result that would earn a badge (4/5 or more, or a right answer in a number round) is also checked against the recording, and gets a verdict: verified, inconclusive or unverified. Only verified results earn a badge. Scores below the badge line, and wrong answers, are only ever shown to you (and, in a team round, to your teammates).
If you think a mark or verdict is wrong, email us within 14 days of the result and we'll look at it again, with someone who didn't mark it whenever we can. That second look is final. We may correct a mark, or remove a badge, if we later find it was wrong or was earned by breaking these terms.
Badges and results show that a result was marked and checked by us. They aren't a qualification, and we can't guarantee that no one ever gets past the checks.
Uninvigilated sittings are marked differently. After the round ends, a written solution is marked out of 5 by an AI model against the same marking guide, and a number answer is checked automatically. 4/5 or more, or a right answer, earns a Solved badge. Solved badges are shown apart from verified ones, and say that nobody checked how the work was done. AI marks can be wrong: if you think one is, email us within 14 days and a person will look at it.
5. Membership
- Membership costs $15 a month. It includes every weekly core round, every past problem with its official solution, and entering rounds as a team of members. The membership page shows what's included at the time.
- Every account gets its first round free before becoming a member, whether it's a core round or a paid extra (which then costs no credits). Using extra accounts to get more free rounds isn't allowed.
- Membership renews automatically each month until you stop it. You can stop renewing at any time on the membership page; you stay a member until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Access starts straight away. Before paying, you ask for your membership to start immediately and confirm you understand that you then lose the 14-day right to cancel that consumers in the UK and EU otherwise have. We email you a confirmation of this. So membership payments aren't refunded, including for part-months.
- If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can stop renewing before then.
- We may also give membership for free (for example, as a prize); it ends on the date we tell you.
6. Credits and paid extra rounds
- Credits pay for paid extra rounds. They don't expire, have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- Credits are added to your account as soon as you pay. Before paying, you ask for that and confirm you understand that you then lose the 14-day right to cancel; we email you a confirmation. So credits aren't refundable, except that if we cancel a round, or it fails because of a problem on our side, you get back the credits you spent on it.
- If you close your account, any unused credits are lost.
7. Payments
Payments go through Link, Stripe's checkout, which sells the membership and credits to you on our behalf as the seller of record. It handles your card details, receipts and any sales tax or VAT, its own terms apply to the payment, and your statement shows "LINK.COM". We never see your full card number. Refunds we agree to are paid back through Link.
8. Your work and ours
Your write-ups are yours. You let us store them, show them to the people who mark and check them, and show your results and badges as described in the privacy policy. The problems, official solutions and the site itself are ours (or our problem writers'). After a round closes, its problem and solution go into our archive; please don't republish them in bulk.
9. Things not to do
- Cheat, help someone else cheat, or try to get round the invigilation.
- Harass other users, or use a handle that's offensive or impersonates someone.
- Interfere with the site, test its security without our permission, or scrape it.
If you break these terms, we may mark results unverified, remove badges, stop you entering rated rounds, or close your account. For anything serious we'll tell you why, and you can ask us to look again.
10. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing us from the address on it. We may close an account that breaks these terms. What happens to your data when an account closes is in the privacy policy.
11. When things go wrong
We work to keep HeadSolved running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of faults. If a round fails because of a problem on our side, we'll try to make it right, for example by rerunning it or refunding credits spent on it.
Apart from what these terms promise, HeadSolved is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't give any other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for business losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of $50 and what you've paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, and nothing takes away your rights as a consumer.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as HeadSolved changes. If a change matters, we'll email you before it applies. If you don't agree, you can stop renewing and close your account.
13. The law, and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico and of the United States, without regard to rules that would apply another place's law. If something goes wrong, please email us first; most problems can be sorted out that way. If not, claims go to the state or federal courts in New Mexico.
If you're a consumer living outside the US, for example in the UK or the EU, you also keep the protections the law where you live gives you that can't be changed by agreement, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
